Abstract

Oudjda, Belyounech, Nador, Tangiers, Gourourou, Takkadoum district… many names of towns, districts and forest known throughout West Africa. These are transition points for the thousands of illegal sub-Saharans Africans in their Journey to Europe. Some fleeing war, dictatorial political regimes, others simply misery… On foot or by bus, their crossing is a martyrdom that lasts up to several years. For them, Morocco is the hope, the outpost of freedom.
