Abstract

The carpenters sculptors of Thuya are experts in this ancient art which is part of the very definition of the identity of the city. Their design and manufacturing techniques remain unchanged and their creativity inexhaustible. Initiated by the jewish goldsmiths, jewelry crafts particularly developed in Essaouira in the mid-18th century. Souiris Jewelers continue until today to excel in preserving this art through the generations.
