Abstract

A tribute to the great lady of Moroccan painting, Chaibia Talal. Though she was self-taught, she was able to mark the Moroccan artistic scenery. The only popular artist in Morocco, Chaibia was grateful to the support and confidence of Gaudibert, Cherkaoui and André El Baz. Her paintings went not only round Morocco, but also Europe where naive art no longer needed to be defended. In May 2003, she received the gold medal of the French Academic Society for Education and Encouragement " Arts - Sciences - Literature ", in Paris. Chaibia Talal died in 2004 at the age of 75 in Casablanca.
