Abstract

The program recalls the history of the portuguese expansion along the moroccan coasts and the struggle led by the Saadians with the people to free the cities under the portuguese control. It describes the laborious victory of " the 1578 battle of the three kings" in Oued El Makhazine, where the moroccan horsemen swept the allied troops. Three kings died in this battle: the king of Portugal, Sebastien 1st and his ally the moroccan deposed king, Mohamed El Moutawakil and the victorious moroccan king, Sultan Abu Marwan Abd Al Malik, the Ottomans'ally.
