Abstract

The work of Zellij (Mosaic) is a floral art specific to the Kingdom of Morocco. In the sacred space of mosques, craftsmen have found a wide field for the development of their art. It is offered in a rich aesthetic vision made of elegant subtleties that lend themselves to meditation. The execution of this meticulous work requires a great precision of movement and a great attention of the glance. The techniques are ancient; the colors are prepared according to methods inherited from generation to generation, and the tools are still rudimentary.
