The Djellaba is the national Moroccan dress par excellence. Different kinds of fabric can be used to manufacture the Djellaba, gabardine, silk or wool, depending on the seasons, the regions and the budget. Among all the Djellabas, the prize clearly goes to the Kharka (linen cloth), produced in the small town of Bzou, located in the Moroccan High Atlas. In Bzou, weaving is a family art, a women's task and priviledge. In the past, the Djellaba was manufactured at will, but nowadays it is to meet the demand of a more and more flourishing market.Type
