The Moroccan literature has lost one of its main pillars. The famous French-speaking novelist Driss Chraibi, who died at the age of 81. A native of El-Jadida, he received his Bachelor degree from Lyautey Secondary school in Casablanca and moved to France where he continued his higher studies in chemistry then received his engineering degree. He took his first steps into the world of literature with "Past simple": a work that places him in the line of sight of his national contemporary intellectuals. A very personal and daring approach of the Moroccan society confirmed by other publications that follow. A claimed subjectivity that gave him the title "the terrible child of the Moroccan literature." Story of the fascinating career of this great Moroccan writer.Type
