Abstract

During a visit to Morocco in 2005, Alain Capouilliet quickly falls in love with the country and its colors. The French painter decides to move there and take the time to discover its richness and diversity through the assets of its different cities. His fascination with the Medina and traditional arts (slippers, shops ...), poppies and rustic doors are ostensibly reflected in his paintings. The paintings of this self-taught painter oscillates between the figurative and the abstract and expresses a lot of warmth: that of bright colors omnipresent in his paintings.
