Abstract

Mr. José Bano is the son of Spanish immigrants. His parents came to settle in France to work as miners and then as lumberjacks. He was born in Cuges-les-Pins and spent the first four years of his life in several huts around the city. His parents decide to move to the city so that José can go to school. The little boy did not speak french then. He had to face the look of the population of that time over the immigrants. At the age of 19, he decided to take the french nationality.
