Abstract

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Arts Center is organizing an exhibition by the artist Samir Rafea, for the first time in Alexandria. Samir represents a contemporary Egyptian art interacting with modern art trends ranging from expressionism to symbolism and surrealism. Samir Rafea expresses a mixture of the Egyptian reality, its interaction with myths, and folkloric arts in a contemporary structure. In the video, we can observe a general view of the exhibition and visitors. We can also follow an interview with Esmat Dawestachi about Rafea paintings.
