Abstract

Dr Ahmed Morsi speaks about the importance of intercultural dialogue, with emphisis on the Mediterranean culture. He stasted his speech with a quotation from Taha Hussein's book " the future of culture in Egypt": there is no intellectual or cultural difference among the peoples that had arisen around the Roman Sea and had underwent its influence, but there are political and economic conditions that are favourable to some peoples and unfavourable to others".
