AbstractDr. Josep Giralt, director of the Cultural european Institute for Mediterranean area and medieval history professor, specialized in Islam archeology in Catalonia and Spain, talks about the dialogue between cultures in the Mediterranean area based on political and commercial relations. He adds that, in Mediterranean area, the circulations of products, of people were very important but there were also perpetual conflicts ( religions, ways of life... very diverse) which provoked complicated situations.
