Abstract

In his introduction, the coordinator of "Manumed project", Stephane Ipert, focuses on the objectives of Manumed. The project aims to raise the value of the written and intangible heritage of the euro-mediterranean space, and improve the knowledge and the conservation of documentary collections (manuscripts, books...). It also aims to preserve the diversity of the manuscript and linguistic heritage for better cultural exchanges in the mediterranean region. Stephane Ipert reminded the importance of the flow of legislative information on trafficking, already existing in the period of Cicero. The meeting could highlight the mutual influences between the different civilizations and study the preludes of what is called today " the arab-islamic heritage".
