Abstract

Zahi Hawass, an Egyptian archaelogist (egyptologist) and also Egypt's Minister of State for Antiquities Affairs, talks about the preservation of Egypt monuments and the improvments realized by Ismail Serageldin in different cultural activities, especially in preservation, at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Zahi Hawass also worked on archaelogical sites in the Nile Delta, the Western Desert and the Upper Nile Valley. He adds Alexandria is a city which attracts a lot of people from diverse countries thanks to its patrimony, theater of conservation politics, restoration programs and of construction of cultural buildings like museum.
