Dr Ismail Serageldin, Director of Alexandria’s library, gave a speech at the opening session of the conference of the Arab reform II. The speech was entitled “Successful experiences”. Dr Ismail Serageldin talked about the first conference of Arab reform and “Vision and Implementation” which was held in 2004, then he talked about the Arab reform forum and explained the website of the forum and added that the forum has implemented all Alexandria’s document such as forming a committee to pursue and deepen the idea of reform through conferences and seminars by dealing with some ideas like freedom of expression and the focus on the nation’s reform, education, youth, economy and women. He pointed to the participation of the Arab reform forum in the initiative of Al-Ahram center to link research centers in the Arab world with reform issues. Dr Ismail Serageldin Talked about Malaysia’s experience in reform which is considered as the most important one and the industrial new European experience.
