Abstract

An episode from the program ' Cairo Salon', presented by Dr. Ismail Serageddin, Director of Alexandria Library . In this episode, he talks about plastic arts . Dr. Serageldin said he would talk about the modern Egyptian art, which is not only part of the ancient heritage which we cherish and take care of, but it is a realization of a generation of pioneers, a generation of contemporary young people who will make the art of the future. He then referred to the book written by Dr. Mustafa Raddad entitled "Modern Egyptian Art in the Twentieth Century" , and produced by the Ministry of Culture . The book presents the evolution of Modern Egyptian Art and its different schools, It is a register of pioneers of Modern Egyptian Art in different periods particularly in sculpture, painting, photography and graphics.
