Abstract

The documentary series deals with various Cypriot folk crafts and occupations most of which have almost been completely abandoned nowadays. This episode presents the craft of hand-made straw and wicker baskets known as "Talaria". Craftsmen from Akrotiri village describe their craft - Various mat and straw creations - Fanou Prokopiou from Agia Marina village explains the manufacturing of wicker baskets.
