Abstract

A documentary dedicated to Spyros Kyprianou (1932-2002), one of the foremost politicians of Cyprus who served as President of the Republic from 1977 up to 1988. It records the great moments in the political carrier of the man who for more than four decades served the country from various other posts as well: As Minister of Foreign Affairs, President of the House of Representatives and founder of a political party. The documentary shows library material of milestones in Kyprianou's political career, such as the Conference at Lancaster House in 1959, the establishment of Democratic Party in 1976, his Presidency of the Republic from 1977 to 1988.
