Abstract

The region of Sidi Yahia Khedrouche in the Wilaya 5prvince) of Jijel, about 350kms east of Algiers, is one of the areas benefiting the program to support the socio-economic development in the North-East of Algeria, PADSEL-NEA, whose implementation began producing tangible results. Fatiha Aouita, a rural woman previously suffering from back of local projects, has benefited, through the PADSEL-NEA of financial support from the European Union, to launch a cattle breeding exploitation. This had a positive effect not only on her living conditions but also on the local economic activity.
