Abstract

In Beni Yenni, a small city at the foot of the Djurdjura mountains, 45km east of Tizi-Ouzou, men have worked silver for centuries. As it is their livelihood and conveys their pride and history, fathers would like to pass on their job to their sons; with simple tools they make themselves, they turn silver into fine jewelry they embellish with coral, enamel and other materials.
