Abstract

Covering an area of 78000 ha, the National Park of El Kala was created on July 23, 1983, and listed world cultural heritage and biosphere reserve by UNESCO on December 17, 1990. The documentary highlights the unique ecosystem of the park which is characterized by wetlands; we find two touristic areas inside the park, Medissa and Cape Rosa, as well as lakes Oubeira (fresh water), Mellah (salt water) and Touga (brackish water).
