Abstract

El Bayadh is located on a hilly site on the high plains of the northern part of the Saharan Atlas; inheritor of a long history, as reflected in its rock carving prehistoric sites, El Bayadh was a hotbed of popular resistance to French occupation; land of Bouamama, Ouled Sidi Cheikh, Bouhadjra and Mohamed Belkheir, the city is undergoing economic growth and has a real tourism potential thanks to its festivals with Fantasia, Mechoui and tea, its ksours, and a generous population partly composed of Nomads.
