Abstract

Tizi-Ouzou is one of the most famous Algerian city for its traditional crafts. To earn a living, men and women have specialized in silver jewelry, pottery and even wooden sculpture, now well appreciated beyond Kabylia. Exhibitions are organized to promote Kabylia crafts and honor those goldsmiths who preserve the traditional shapes and patterns.
