Museoscope is a series of reports through which we discover with Radia Boulemaali the most beautiful museums of Algeria. Today’s issue is devoted to the Juba II museum of Cherchell .Juba II, son of Juba I, born around 23 AD, reigned under Roman tutelage, from his capital Caesarea, today Cherchell, central northern Algeria. He built many public buildings, forums, theaters, baths, temples and public gardens. Many remains confirm the greatness of this sovereign who had a great capacity for work and assimilation in sculpture and architecture. his wife Cleopatra Selene never forgot about her Greek Egyptian origins. Both were buried in a grandiose tumulus.Type
