Abstract

The mandolin wanders, loses its original language and borrows the paths of Jazz and Flamenco. Mohamed Rouane discovers a new performance of this instrument usually dedicated to Chaâbi music. The result is an atypical sound, a tacit sliding from one genre to another and a cleared musical space time. During the Awards for Television Productions, the former member and founder of the Mediterraneo band gave a Chaâbi music concert and the soul of popular song was there in spite of a reduced distribution. The Mandolin remains the master object of this melody.
