Abstract

Located in the high plains, 100 km south east of Saida, Ain Skhouna is a high volume secular source, which was named after as the original locality. This long forgotten high plains area has just come out of anonymity, since the waters of its perennial spring feed urban cities homes of Saida. Thanks to the achievement of a project which had started ten years before, that hidden natural treasure is at last accessible. With an estimated 1000 liters/second flow rate, it is undoubtedly one of the largest in the country. This source has never dried up and its flow rate has always been the same.
