Abstract

From the Umayyad capital, Damascus, Hassen Ben Belkacem tries to get back on the trail of Emir Abdelkader. Emir Abdelkader’ s grandson, Emir Said el Djazairi, aged 88, testifies. He speaks a lot about his grandfather’s life which was marked by prowess in war and nobility of spirit. Some valuables and gifts received by Emir Abdelkader are presented by his grandson. Visit of Mohieddine Ibn el Arabi's Mosque, the place chosen by Emir Abdelkader to be buried beside this illustrious Sufi.
