Abstract

The fort of Beni Hammad Ben Bologhine which is located in Maadid, some 30km farfrom the centre of the province of M’sila, was classified by the UNESCO in 1980. The site is a defensive plateau overlooking the plain from a height of 500 meters. It was destroyed by the Almohads led by Abdelmoumen in 1152.
