Abstract

The first edition of the french film festival of Algiers was held on 14, 15 and 16 December 2005. An initiative of Unifrance, the body responsible for the promotion of Frech cinema in the world. With the contribution of the Embassy of France. On this occasion, Veronique Bouffard, General manager of Unifrance moved to Algiers and declared: " It is to celebrate the French cinema for three days, here in Algiers. The event lies in the French artistic presence and in the diversity of the suggested films..". The program ends with a long interview wih the filmmaker Costa-Gavras who talks about his life and his film career.
