Abstract

The olive tree, whose cultivation in Algeria dates back to the fourth millennium BC, is widespread in Kabylia and adapts very well to the climate and relief that are essentially for tree dwelling. It should be noted that the period of the olive harvest is at the beginning of each winter, with all its ups and downs, but it gives the countryside people an economic occupation of interest and allows them to spend pleasant moments in the fields , especially when there is sunshine and it is relatively mild .
