The Abdeen Palace in Cairo, designed by the French architect Rosseau in honor of the Empress Eugenie, was not completed until 1874. Surrounded by a very large park, the palace served as a royal residence until the abolition of the monarchy. Today, it is a museum displaying a collection of rare objects such as weapons, ceremonial dagger or howitzers.Type
