The palace located across from the railway station, in Rijeka, was built as an administrative building sugar factories in 1752, at the initiative of the Trieste-Rijeka Privileged companies. Following a fire, the building was significantly restored in 1785 and furnished with Baroque interior wall paintings and stucco. In 19th century, it served as the administrative building of tobacco, and then housed the factory engine "Richard Benčić." The building represents the highest quality of baroque palace on the eastern coast, the construction of which marked the beginning of industrial development Rivers. The interior of the building is richly decorated with stucco, frescoes and pottery kilns.Type
