Abstract

Report filmed at the castle of La Buzine near Marseille, the setting of "My Mother’s Castle" by Marcel Pagnol. Journalist Jacques Bonnadier and Henri Noiroud, former operator of Pagnol, walk in the garden surrounding the completely neglected property. It was Josette Day who gave Pagnol the idea of founding his own studio. Actually, he turned only one movie there. In soundtrack, we can hear Pagnol’s voice and scenes from ‘Angele’ and ‘Manon des Sources’. Nearby, at farm Fontblanche, filmmaker Rene Allio, projects the creation of the Mediterranean Film Center.
