Abstract

Alain Peyrefitte, then Minister of Communication of De Gaulle, opens the daily newscast ‘Provence Actualités’. The novelty of this program lies in the fact that the weekly regional news is now a daily appointment. The Minister recalled the objective of the RTF: access to television for more people by building new transmitters. He ended his speech by wishing good luck to this new program.
