Meeting with the latest shipwrights who still make the famous Marseille ‘barquette’ (fishing boat) on the Provence coast. This round shape boat is a replica of Phoenician vessels which landed the shores of Phocaea, 2,600 years ago. This fishing boat is still used by professionals, but also sought after by boaters. The Marseille barquette is made of wood and lasts a lifetime.Type
