Abstract

In Marseille, there are only 250 fishermen, and few young people are getting into the business, which is mainly a family affair, especially Italian. The National Interest Market of Saumaty was created in 1976, replacing the traditional "criée" of the Old Port. In front of the Market, the sale live on the Old Port continues, but is threatened by the sale in supermarkets.
