Abstract

President Sarkozy launched the Union for the Mediterranean at the grand palais, in Paris, in the presence of 47 heads of state and government. No dissonance, just an impossibility to sit for a family picture.The conference lasted three hours, with peace in the Middle East as a back drop, it ended by a joint press conference carried out by the presidents of the Union, Sarkozy and Moubarak.
