Abstract

Images of the North African troops parade in Marseille on the Canebière: Moroccan infantrymen, Zouaves, Nouba, soldiers of the third Algerian infantry division, who liberated the city under Lattre De Tassigny’ s command. Immediately after the liberation of Marseille after heavy fighting, the French colonial troops parade on August 29, 1944 on the Canebière and on the Quai des Belges (Belgians’ dock), before the civil and military authorities and an enthusiastic crowd.
