Abstract

The first Euro-Mediterranean Conference was held in Barcelona. Economy, Social (immigration), Respect for human rights, the Middle East Peace Process, the European economic policy and free trade on industrial goods by 2010 were on the agenda. A help of 30 billion Francs should be given to the countries of the south shore by 1999.
