For over a century, Alexandria was the most European city in the Middle East, uniting languages, religions and cultures in an exchange of finance and love. In 1956, the nationalization of Nasser causes the departure of different communities, including the Jews, ethnic group settled in Egypt since Alexander the Great. The story of Anthony Mora gives voice to the last survivors of this cosmopolitanism, represented by Joe, the last Jewish merchant of the city, who has a haberdashery.
