Abstract

Off Nice and Saint-Tropez, huge underwater geological faults exist and , the possibility of an earthquake can be determined from the observation of their spacing. Some scientists from the National Center for the Exploitation of the Oceans got down in a capsule to get samples. They seek to trace the origin of the Mediterranean and determine the current seismic movements.
