Abstract

For almost twenty years, some refugees are still in search of a homeland. The U.N. decided that 1963 would be the World Refugee Year. Experiments are attempted in the south of France to install inhabitants without villages into villages without inhabitants. Twelve years ago, in La Roque sur Pernes, in the Vaucluse, a community of Batanais (historical region of the plains of Central Europe shared since 1920 between Hungary, Romania and Serbia I) has rebuilt this village which is now prosperous, and where children speak with the accent of the Midi..
