Collection titleEvening 3 news
First broadcast date04/28/2008
AbstractFor three months, the Basin of Gafsa in Tunisia has been in turmoil. The original social conflict has turned into a protest movement. In the city of Redeyef, in particular, demonstrations against the government are daily. But this movement would have remained unknown in Tunisia, had it not been relayed by the opposition television Al Hiwar Television. The shooting conditions are difficult for the channel that is facing legal restrictions and repressions from the authorities. 11 cameramen were attacked and 8 cameras were confiscated during the last 12 months.
