Abstract

Excerpt from the documentary by Simone Bitton, in which four young women (Nadira,Kabyle, Norma,Palestinian, Jacqueline, Jewish Algerian; Christiane, Italian) and the director, Jewish Moroccan, evoke the relationship with their mothers. For these girls, who have generally freed from the traditional way of life in which their mothers were confined, the mother-daughter relationship remains a strong connection, beyond the break of departure and an autonomous and westernized lifestyle.
