Abstract

Film dedicated to the shipyards of La Seyne Sur Mer, totally destroyed on August 17, 1944 by the Germans, whose reconstruction and modernization were undertaken from the end of the war. The sites of La Seyne Sur Mer have a dual activity: ship repair, with an example of the "Florida" and construction with the example of the "Foria". We attend all the technical steps before launching the "Foria" , religious blessing and beautiful launch to the sound of the Marseillaise. First ship built after the Liberation, the "Dubreka" is a refrigerated cargo for bananas transporting. It is filmed on the port of Marseille during the unloading of its cargo.
