Abstract

300 years after the first martyrs, Christianity triumphed in the Roman Empire, and even became the state religion during the reign of Constantine empire. In the Middle Ages, the break was consumed between the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Roman Church in the West. In the seventh century, it is a new interpretation of the message of Abraham that is spreading from east to west of the Mediterranean with the conquests of Islam. If the teaching is simple and easily digestible, it is also a religion that sets the precepts of social and political life. Roger Arnaldez explains the disagreements between the three monotheistic religions. Very nice sequence of children of multiple faiths, on a beach in Lebanon.
