Rome has set up its political and material lifestyle in its provinces, which is still tangible today in the Roman ruins of the ancient cities of the empire. The transformation of the Mediterranean landscape is due to Rome. The successors of Rome had the desire to restore the unity of the empire. With Justinian, the Byzantine Christian Roman emperor, this mirage come true. From there you can go back to the heyday of the Roman Empire. The institutional unit of Justinian, based on strong legislation, led to the reconquest of the lands that belonged to Rome in Africa, Asia, Italy and Spain. The Mediterranean is once again a Roman lake.Type
