Abstract

This documentary traces the history and architecture of Venice and focuses on the risk of disappearing under the water of this unique city,in the long run. To address this threat, the Italian Government, in cooperation with UNESCO, has established the International Advisory Committee for Venice. A forum where experts are studying measures to contain water, regulate flows, prevent pollution, neutralize the sinking foundations and protect art treasures. Explanations on images of the city, its monuments and works of art.
