Abstract

Through this episode, we learn about the rural people's life, their parties and their commitment to the art of making "sada" coffee. The sound of “El Mahabish” (coffee grinders) is very popular among Jordanians because, coffee grinding and coffee are linked to the Arab hospitality and generosity, and to individual and tribal problem solving. Furthermore, it is part of the giving and receiving process in our daily life, thus considered as a common denominator of each cultural element in our society, especially the Bedouin community. We also discover the evening meetings and wedding, accompanied by the sound of the flute and rababa as well as the popular dances of adults and children.
