Abstract

The program shows the charm and beauty of Rum and the poems that have been written about it. The Director of Tourism in Aqaba speaks about its history, the inscriptions and the carvings on its rocks. He linked Rum with a place mentioned in the Quran “Aram with Pillars andThamood who moved the rocks in the valley” (verse from the Quran). He also associated it to the pink bird, the black iris flower and the oak tree. He finally shows the different activities held in Rum, such as: race cars, balloons and race camels , as well as activities related to amateurs in astronomy; and Rum in the past and present .
